Job Purpose:

To assist in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of LGF Activity Centre, ensuring that the building, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-presented for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks including painting, minor repairs, and assist with larger development projects.
  • Assist with the inspection and servicing of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and report any issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Support in setting up rooms and equipment for events and activities.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in all areas and storage spaces.
  • Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as strimming, grass cutting, litter picking, and seasonal upkeep.
  • Assist with activities during peak periods


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand tools and small power tools safely.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness for manual tasks and lifting.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant trade or maintenance qualifications.

Working Hours:

Full-time / Part-time (as agreed)
Some flexibility may be required for evening or weekend work.

Salary:

Competitive, based on experience.
